MNJTF Soldiers Neutralize 5 Boko Haram Terrorists, Harm Several Others, Recover Arms

Troops from the Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF) Sector 1 in Cameroon have successfully intercepted remaining members of the Boko Haram terrorists who were searching for supplies in Hile Halifa, located on the outskirts of Lake Chad in northern Cameroon.

During the encounter, the courageous troops eliminated five terrorists, causing considerable damage to the capabilities of Boko Haram.

A statement released on Friday by Lt. Col Abubakar Abdullahi, spokesperson for the MNJTF, stated, “This successful operation marks another significant setback for the terrorist group, which continues to pose a threat to peace and stability in the region.

“Furthermore, our forces have successfully recovered a significant amount of weapons and ammunition from the disrupted insurgents, including two AK 47 rifles, one Rocket Propelled Grenade (RPG) tube, and several hundreds of 7.62-millimeter ammunition.”

“This successful mission represents a major blow to the terrorist group’s aggressive disposition and further contributes to the overall objective of ensuring peace, safety, and security in the region.

“The MNJTF Sector 1 remains committed to dismantling Boko Haram and restoring stability in the affected areas.”
