Hannatu Musa-Musawa, the Minister of Art, Culture, and the Creative Economy, has urged songwriters and music artists from all six geopolitical zones to create a theme song for the country.
She believes that having a national theme song is a top priority and it will help instill faith in the Nigerian project among its citizens.
In a statement released by her media office on Tuesday, the Minister expressed her intention to rebrand Nigeria’s image and distance it from negative associations such as poverty, fraud, terrorism, and other criminal activities.
She emphasized the need for Nigerian songwriters and music artists to start thinking in the direction of creating a national theme song.
