I know many of you think Kwara revolves around Bukola Saraki — like it was founded in 2003 and politics started and would end with the Sarakis. I urge you to go back home for reorientation.
Kwara gave Bukola Saraki all he has. Kwara made him. This state had leaders before them. It had successful people. Providence enthroned his leadership in the state. Kwarans held on to their end of the unwritten social contract but he (Bukola) failed to live up to it– another of the things he bottled — after the death of the builder. The state has crowned a new leader and will make many more in its full glory.
I don’t expect you to understand anyway. They killed education, stifled political awareness, and made independence of mind and quality thoughts a luxury until a revolution swept them away.
It is not the Governor that makes people. It is a system. A system makes dream come true. It was a faulty political system in place that made you feel the state revolves around an individual, a demi-god. Kwara has a new system. It is freer and more inclusive and it will produce more leaders for Nigeria and Africa in the next 10 years.
You could be one of them too. You have hope now — one that died many years ago.
