Alajobi Multipurpose Cooperative established over two decades ago by Senator Oyelola Ashiru, the distinguished senator representing Kwara South Senatorial District.
The main goal of the cooperative is to uplift individuals at the grassroots level and foster unity and communal values.
Recently, the cooperative organized an empowerment event for its members in Oyun, Ekiti, and Oke-Ero Local Governments. Today, in Offa, a new group of members who share the objectives of the Alajobi cooperative society joined the organization.
Mr. Tajudeen Abdulwahab, the coordinator, advised the beneficiaries not to sell the items they received for financial gain. Instead, he encouraged them to manage their finances wisely and view the assistance as relief during these challenging economic times.
Addressing the beneficiaries, the senator mentioned that this is another round of empowerment provided by the Alajobi Cooperative. He recalled that the first round was carried out for Offa members to reintroduce the cooperative, and the second round included members from Oyun, Ekiti, and Oke-Ero Local Governments.
He noted further that, in subsequent empowerment by the cooperative it will be extended to members from other Local Government.
The Materials distributed includes, Tricycle, Motorcycle and Cash Disbursement for Traders.
The cooperative which was reintroduced in the year 2023 has its old and new members across the Seven Local Government in Kwara South Senatorial district.
