Afeez Saheed, a talented photojournalist from Kwara; a reporter and the Director of Photography (DoP) at 9japarrot Digital Media and Communications, has been chosen to participate in the 2023 13th African Games.
He was selected alongside renowned Nigerian photographer Taofeek Sheikh Ibrahim, who recently represented the country at the AFCON in Cote d’Ivoire.
Samuel Korley, the Accreditation Manager for the 13th African Games, confirmed the selection approval and congratulated the successful applicants.
He expressed delight in having these exceptional talents on board for the event, which is set to take place in Accra, Ghana starting on March 8, 2024.
The African Games, previously known as the All-Africa Games or the Pan African Games, are a continental multi-sport event held every four years and organized by the African Union (AU) in collaboration with the Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa (ANOCA) and the Association of African Sports Confederations (AASC).
Afeez Saheed and Taofeek Sheikh Ibrahim will join other talented photojournalists from around the world to capture and document the vibrant and memorable moments of the 13th African Games in Accra.
