Kwara South Youth under the aegis of the Kwara South Youth Development Organization (KWAYORG) has mourned the passing of the Oloro of Oro Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba AbdulRafiu Olaniyi Oyelaran I.
The formidable group spoke through the *Acting President, Stephen Ariyo Odeyemi* in a statement issued on Saturday; We received with grief, the passing of a Mornach of extraordinary kindness, an exemplary Leader whose reign was marked by wisdom, grace and devotion to his people whose contributions to the development of Oro Kingdom and Kwara South in general cannot be overstated” the statement read in part.
“He was a well respected monarch owing to his selflessness, patriotism, humility and commitment to community service” the statement added.
“The late monarch will be forever remembered for leaving behind worthy legacies for his family to uphold. His demise is a huge loss to Kwara South”, He added.
“As we convey our deepest sympathies to his immediate families, Oro Kingdom, Kwara State Government, the entire people of Oro Kingdom, and Well-wishers, we fervently pray to God to grant the people of Oro Kingdom the strength to bear this irreparable loss and pray that the Lord almighty grants Oba AbdulRafiu Olaniyi Oyelaran I eternal rest”.
