Fake News Alert: Ward Chairmen Distance Self From Rejection Of Ajuloopin’s Empowerment Programme

Chairman of all ward Chairmen in Kwara South, Odeyemi Samuel Adebayo as described as a total falsehood an online publication claiming they rejected the Agricultural Empowerment Programme of Rt. Hon. Tunji Olawuyi, popularly known as Ajuloopin, representing Ekiti, Isin, Irepodun and Oke-Ero Federal Constituency.

Adebayo in a statement on Wednesday asked the general public to disregard what he called a fake news.

“We totally reject and condemn the false and misleading report published by an online medium claiming that Ward chairmen and executives have rejected the agricultural empowerment program organized by Rt. Hon. Tunji Olawuyi.

“This report is a blatant lie, a fabrication, and a desperate attempt to discredit the laudable efforts of our distinguished representative, Rt. Hon. Tunji Olawuyi, who has consistently demonstrated his commitment to the welfare and development of our constituency.

“We, the authentic Ward chairmen and executives, fully endorse and appreciate the agricultural empowerment programme, which has benefited numerous constituents.

“We urge the public to disregard this fake news and instead focus on the positive impact of Rt. Hon. Tunji Olawuyi’s initiatives” Adebayo said.

He said It’s particularly disturbing that this false report was published despite the presence of the state party chairman, Prince Sunday Fagbemi, and other Exco members at the program.

“Rt. Hon. Tunji Olawuyi did not boycott the party leadership, as falsely claimed. Instead, he worked in harmony with the state party executives and the deputy governor’s representative to ensure the success of the program” Adebayo submitted.
