Senator Oyelola Ashiru has undeniably brought about positive changes to Kwara South Senatorial District through improvements in education, power supply, tourism, human capital development, road construction, and the establishment of healthcare facilities in his 5 years in office as the Senator representing the Kwara South senatorial district.

Similarly, like other Local Government Areas within Kwara South Senatorial District, communities in Oke-Ero LG are reaping the benefits of democratic dividends thanks to Senator Oyelola Ashiru.
As a grassroots politician, Senator Ashiru actively engages with his constituents to identify their needs and then leverages legislation and his network to drive impactful projects forward.
On Health, Senator Ashiru constructed Maternity Health centres in Kajola and ilale to solve age-long challenge in the community.
His intervention in the health sector attracted commendation from women folk, Chief Mrs. Bello ‘Esinkin Obinrin’ of Ilale land who commended the senator for the construction of Primary Health Care Center, recounting the bad state of health of the community due to the dilapidated health facility forcing pregnant women to seek help in neighboring communities during labour which comes with high risk.
In addition, the Senator supplied medical equipment and drugs in Ekan Primary health center. He also provides free medical services during Medical Outreach in Odo-Owa. Traditional rulers, aged, women and others with different medical issues were treated and given free drugs by trained health practitioners.
Similarly, Ashiru facilitated installation of solar powered borehole in Odo-Owa to provide portable water for needy community.
As a responsive representative, Kwara South Senator after receiving complaints from Ayedun, He facilitated 500KVA transformer to improve electricity supply in the community.
In the last five years, Ero’Mola Waterfall has witnessed a significant increase of tourists visiting the tourism sites as a result of its beautification/upgrade.
Recall that he also sponsored 200 tourists to visit tourism sites in Kwara South. No doubt, this is kind of attention would boost economy in communities around the sites.
Senator Ashiru’s Constituents in Oke-ero have benefited from empowerment for widows and aged (Cash support), training and start up support for artisans and Fishery training for Youths.
Apart from that, the Senator recently distributed fertilizers and other farm inputs to support genuine farmers in order to boost food security.
