Widows, Orphans Smile As Senator Saliu Mustapha Distributes Food Packs To Mark Eid-el-Kabir Celebration

The Turaki of Ilorin and Senator representing Kwara Central Senatorial district, Mallam Saliu Mustapha, put smiles on the faces of 1000 widows, orphans, people living with disabilities, and vulnerable individuals on Saturday.

At his Constituency Office in Fate, Ilorin, Senator Mustapha presented food packs to the beneficiaries, ensuring they celebrate Eid-Kabir with dignity and joy, regardless of their economic status.

He said Eid celebration is another time to reach out to widows and other needy inline with Islamic tents.

The Senator revealed that beneficiaries were shortlisted by Community Based Organizations across four local government areas in Kwara Central.

The food packs contains  Rice, Semo, packs of Spaghetti, Sugar, Salt, Maggi, Milk,  Tea, Packs of Macaroni and 1 liter of Vegetable oil.

Prof Aisha Gobir and former Kwara Commissioner for Education, Alhaja Halimat Yusuf in their separate remarks appreciated Senator Mustapha for his consistency and timely interventions to ameliorate suffering facing the downtrodden in the society, especially during Sallah Celebration.

An aged woman who benefited from the food packs appreciated the Senator for providing food for them to celebrate Sallah amidst the economic hardship in the country.

Our Correspondent reports that the food packs will also be distributed to selected beneficiaries in Ilorin West, Ilorin South, Ilorin East and Asa local government areas.

The highlight of the event was the presentation of Camry Cars to Saliu Mustapha Foundation Administrative Secretary, Tunde AbdulRahman and National PRO of Ilorin Emirate Youth Descendants Association (IEYDA), Muhammad Uthman Jaguma.
