
••• Promises to Drive Growth and Progress in Nigeria’s Automotive Sector
In a grand ceremony held at the Kwara Motors Dealers Association Secretariat, Alhaji AbdulRahman Sulaiman Agbon, Managing Director/CEO of Honikepe Motors Nigeria Ltd, was inaugurated as the new State Treasurer of the Association of Motors Dealers of Nigeria (AMDON), Kwara State Chapter.
With his oath of office, Alhaji Agbon formally took on the mantle of leadership, promising to bring his expertise and leadership skills to the association.
The event marked a significant milestone for AMDON, one of Nigeria’s most formidable unions, with a strong presence in all 36 states and the FCT.
The outgoing Chairman, Alhaji Abdulhamid Dare Abdul, in his speech, thanked the members for their support throughout his tenure.
He highlighted his achievements, noting that the association had reached out to many stakeholders in a bid to achieve its set goals. He charged the new executives to capitalize on the good things they had initiated and ensure their completion, urging them to be innovative as well.
The newly inaugurated Chairman, Alh. Hadi AbdulRasheed, thanked the outgoing Chairman for setting the pace and for his unprecedented performance. He reiterated that his administration was ready to hit the ground running, set more records, and take the association to greater heights.
Alhaji AbdulRahman Sulaiman Agbon, the new State Treasurer, speaking with our reporter, expressed his gratitude and joy, stating, “Being part of the new AMDON executives is a thing of joy, and a platform for me to contribute to the progress of the noble union.”
He promised to work closely with other executives, utilizing his expertise and leadership skills to set unprecedented achievements in AMDON’s history.

According to a notification letter sent across to relevant stakeholders ahead of the Inauguration by the outgoing General Secretary, Hadi AbdulRasheed Folorunsho and inline with the constitution of the association, the new executive’s term begins on the 13th of July, 2024, and ends on the 13th of July, 2028.
