
In a bold move to alleviate food insecurity and support the vulnerable members of his constituency, the Senator representing Kwara Central Senatorial district, Senator Saliu Mustapha has launched a large-scale food distribution initiative, targeting no fewer than 8,000 constituents in Kwara Central Senatorial District.
The initiative, which began recently, has seen the distribution of assorted food items, including maize, sorghum, millet, and other edibles, to various groups and individuals across the district. This move has brought hope to many families who have been struggling to make ends meet.
In continuation of the distribution of the assorted food items, Magajis, Alanguas and representatives from Asa, Ilorin West, Ilorin South, Ilorin East yesterday took deliveries of their consignments for onward distribution to the people at ward level.
Others who benefitted from this timely initiative are Members of the Igbo Community, Kwara State Artisans Congress, Ilorin Emirate Descendents Progressive Union (IEDPU),Tricycle Owners Association of Nigeria (TOAN) among others.
Beneficiaries of the initiative expressed gratitude and support for Senator Mustapha’s efforts, lauding his commitment to addressing the needs of his constituents.
The Miyetti Allah’s Chairman, Abubakar Idris, praised Senator Mustapha’s initiative, stating that it demonstrates his dedication to delivering on his promises to support and uplift the vulnerable members of the community.
“We are grateful for Senator Mustapha’s kindness and generosity. This food will go a long way in supporting our families.” said another beneficiary from the Ilorin West Local Government Area.
“Senator Mustapha has shown that he truly cares about his constituents. We are proud to have him as our representative”, said another beneficiary from Asa Local Government Area.
