The political participation of women has increased in Kwara State as a result of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s commitment towards running gender inclusive administration.
It’s therefore not surprising to witness the emergence of woman of virtue and good character like Mrs. Funmilayo Rebecca Abolude as APC Vice Chairmanship Candidate in Irepodun local government.
With Abolude, the voice as well as interest of women, aged and other members of the society will be protected in process of transforming Irepodun LG with Abdulazeez Yakubu when elected.
- The All Progressives Congress APC,Vice Chairmanship Candidate in Irepodun LG, Funmilayo Rebecca Abolude was born on June 28, 1968
- Abolude holds NCE Certificate from Kwara State College of Education, Oro in 1986. She proceeded to Ahmadu Bello University for Bachelor of Science in Physical Health and Education. She earned Master in Education (M.Ed) in Health Education.
- Abolude is an Educationist with track record of dedication, hard work and honesty.
- She started her career as Class Teacher and rose to position of Principal.
- She retired from Kwara State Civil service in 2014.
- Abolude is a grassroots Politician and community mobilizer for development.
- Abolude is a loyal party woman who has paid her dues in Irepodun local government political space and beyond.
- She was a member of the governing council of Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin from 2020-2023
