Tinuola’s Campaign Train Storms Ipetu-Rore-Aran-Orin, Receives Arousing Welcome


The people of Ipetu-Rore-Aran-Orin Ward in Irepodun Local Government Area of Kwara have endorsed the All Progressives Congress candidate in the coming Local Government election, Hon. Abdulazeez Yakubu Tinuola for the Chairmanship seat.

The people also promised to come out and deliver their votes in bulk for him to emerge as the next executive Chairman of the council.

The people made submissions separately in Ipetu-Igbomina, Rore and Aran-orin when the Tinuola campaign train stormed the communities on Saturday including party leaders and supporters.

The team was warmly welcomed and received in the three communities by thousands of party supporters including women, youths, artisans, traders, Okada riders and various groups and associations.

A party leader in the Ward, Prince Samuel Alebiosu while speaking in the three communities noted that it would be beneficial for the people to ensure an APC led administration in the council since the Federal and State administration are presently governed by APC leaders.

He described Hon. Abdulazeez Yakubu Tinuola as a seasoned politian with the required quality, capacity and experience to make the desired different in the council if elected.

“I want to appeal to us to toe the line of continuity and consistency by ensure that we give necessary support by casting our votes for the party’s candidate whose leaders are presently occupying the Federal and State administration.

“We should not make mistakes, we should not allow some people to deceive us, let’s come out en masse and vote for APC on the day of the election.

“Our candidate, Hon. Tinuola is a well known and versatile politician, he knows where the shoes pinches and he has the experience to deliver if elected as our next chairman,” he said.

While addressing the team in Ipetu-Igbomina, the Onipetu of Ipetu-Igbomina, His Royal Majesty Oba Samuel Olabanji Olanrewaju urged the party’s candidates not to forget their promises to the people after occupying their various positions.

He said the leaders of the party in the ward are well known faces, saying that the community was always with the majority as far as politics was concerned.

Earlier, the Chairman of Ipetu-Igbomina Development Association, Engr. Musa Ibrahim had highlighted the immediate needs of the community to including provision of electricity transformer to improve power supply to the community.

He also mentioned the reconstruction and rehabilitation of the township roads as well as provision of additional polling units as the community’s top priority.

In Rore Community, His Royal Majesty, Oba Ezekiel Olawale Oyewole, prayed for the party’s candidates and urged party supporters to be of good conduct during and after the election.

He described the party’s Chairmanship candidate, Hon Tinuola as a kind, generous and popular politician, saying he was always in the community to contribute to its development even when he was not in government.

Oba Oyewole said the major needs of the community would be communicated appropriately after the candidates might have occupied their respective positions.

Similarly, His Royal Majesty, Oba Joseph Oyeyipo Babalola, the Alaran of Aran-orin, emphasised the rehabilitation and reconstruction of some of the link roads to ensure easy movement of the people, goods and services.

He thanked the team for honouring the community through the visit and prayed for party’s success in the election.

Earlier, Hon. Femi Ajibade, an indegene and Director, Media and Publicity of the campaign organisation, had highlighted the need for improved inter-community road network that would aid transportation and agriculture practices.

He particularly mentioned roads in Olomi-oja, Olowonijere, Faje as needing urgent government attention.

Hon Ajibade disclosed that Aran-orin Community is first in the production of Banana plantains and second in cocoa production and solicited  for more government’s support and assistance for farmers, especially through improved seedlings to boost production and income.

Amongst party leaders in the campaign entourage included the party’s Vice Chairmanship candidate, the Acting Chairman of the party, Hon. Rashidat Kazeem, the party’s Councillorship candidates in the ward, former TIC Chairman, Hon Jide Oyinloye, former Chairman in the council, Hon.
