In a significant move to empower Kwara South youths, Senator Lola Ashiru, Deputy Senate Leader and Senator representing Kwara South Senatorial district, has congratulated 350 shortlisted applicants for the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) training and digital empowerment program facilitated by his office.
The initiative aims to enhance the technological skills of youths and keep them updated on various technology trends in their chosen fields.
Successful applicants began receiving the shortlisting message early hours of Wednesday, 18th September 2024 as indicated below 👇
The training is Scheduled as follows:
- PCB Basic Level – Design for Assembly and Repairs (Lighting) – September 23rd-28th
- Digital Literacy (Beginners) & STEM – September 30th-October 4th
- Multimedia Development – October 7th-11th
- Web Design and Programming – October 14th-18th
The training will take place at One Innovation Hub (ONEIH), located behind the Police Mobile Force Barrack, along Ojoku Road, Offa, Kwara State. This program is part of Senator Ashiru’s efforts to support the youth in his constituency, ensuring they become valuable and self-reliant members of society.
Senator Ashiru has demonstrated his commitment to empowering Kwara South youths, previously visiting the Offa and Environs Innovation Hub (ONIEH) and promising to sponsor 350 youths for digital skills training.
This initiative is expected to play a crucial role in equipping the next generation with necessary skills to thrive in the digital economy.
