LG Polls: Amofin Akogun Drums Support For Kwara PDP Candidates, Donates 1 Million Naira

As Kwarans prepare for the local government elections this Saturday, Barrister Titilope Akogun, President of the BTA Foundation, has made a passionate plea for protest voting against the ruling party to send a strong message to the ruling Government of the level of hardship and hunger in the land.

Akogun, the prominent Lawyer, as well emphasized the importance of safeguarding votes and ensuring that no intimidation or rigging takes place at the polling units.

Amofin Akogun donated N1million to PDP candidates in Irepodun local government. This donation was presented by his representatives; Mrs. CK Oguntoye, Alh Idris Olu Okewa and Mr Michael Oyeniyi to the candidates.

This donation and Akogun’s call for reactionary votes serve as a reminder of the power of the people to shape their future through democratic participation.

“This is a critical moment for our state,” Akogun stated: “We have an opportunity to choose a brighter future for Kwara, and that future lies with the PDP.”

He expressed his dissatisfaction with the current APC administration, stating that their lack of direction for progress and unrivalled development that was the fulcrum of the Otoge Campaign necessitates a change.

“Therefore, the time has come to send a clear signal that Kwarans will no longer tolerate hunger, anger, hardship, docility and incompetence,” Akogun declared.

“I urge all voters to come out and exercise their rights, and ensure that their voices are heard.”

The BTA Foundation President has vowed to continue promoting values and ensuring that the electoral process is conducted fairly and the people continue to be sensitized on reasons not to sell their opportunity on Saturday for a pot of porridge, only to start lamenting after the elections again.

He commended the good people of the Local Government for their turnout during the campaigns, their agonies being voiced out without mincing words, urging them to preservere as joy comes in the morning once the PDP candidate, Alh Ahmed Alabi Olobi is voted as the next Local Government Chairman with his ward Councillors.
