Independence Day: Senator Ashiru Tasks Nigerians On Unity, Prayer For National Development



The Deputy Leader of the Senate and lawmaker representing Kwara South senatorial district, Architect Oyelola Yisa Ashiru  has urged Nigerians to remain united as the country marks her 64th Independence Day anniversary.

Ashiru also enjoined Nigerians, especially the people of Kwara South to pray for the country and her leaders for the entrenchment of good governance and the well being of the people.

The Deputy Leader of the Senate, in a message of felicitation marking Nigeria’s 64th Independence, said Nigeria has come a long way as one indivisible entity which every citizen must work to protect.

He tasks Nigerians to continue to live as brothers and sisters irrespective of differences in ethnic and religious beliefs.

“It is only when we live together in peace that we can work together to develop the country.

” As we mark our country’s 64th Independence Anniversary, we must remain steadfast, united and prayerful for our country to remain one and overcome her challenges.”
