Senator Ashiru’s Solar-Powered Borehole Project Kicks Off In Kwara South



In a bid to enhance water accessibility and quality of life, Senator Oyelola Ashiru, Deputy Senate Leader and representative of Kwara South Senatorial district, has commenced a solar-powered borehole drilling project in 18 rural communities.

The project, aimed at providing clean water affordably, will benefit communities including Oba, Isanlu-Isin, Oke-Onigbin, Olla, Odore, Owode Alla, Araromi, Ora Aiyegbaju, Imode, Iloffa, Ijomu Oro, Irebode Oro, Oke Oyan, Ora, Akingbasa, Aganju Essa, Dapson Area, and Oritamerin.

Confirming this development on Sunday morning, Senator Oyelola Ashiru in a statement obtained by 9japarrot revealed that Engineers from the Lower Niger River Basin have conducted site inspections, possession, geophysical surveys, and commenced drilling.

Major markets in the region will also benefit from improved water supply and sanitation, elevating living standards in rural communities, He added.

“This project is a significant step towards addressing the water crisis in our rural communities,” Senator Ashiru said.
