Igbomina Day: Senator Saliu Mustapha announced as Chief Launcher

 

Senator Saliu Mustapha, Senator representing Kwara Central Senatorial District, has been announced as the Chief Launcher of the 2024 Igbomina Day celebration.

The event, scheduled for Saturday, November 9, 2024, in lludun-oro, Irepodun Local Government Area, Kwara State, aims to raise a substantial N500 million for the construction of a modern Igbomina Plaza in Ganmo and the upgrade of Igbomina Community Radio.

The Igbomina community, known for her rich cultural heritage and significant contributions to Kwara State, is seeking to strengthen its unity and development through this initiative.

The event will also honor distinguished Igbomina sons and daughters who have excelled in various fields, including education, commerce, and politics.

Elder G.Y Jimoh, the National President of Omo Ibile Igbomina , and Barrister Teju Oguntoye, the Chairman of the Central Planning Committee, extended a formal invitation to Senator Mustapha, highlighting his pivotal role in the community’s development.

They expressed confidence in his support for the ambitious project.

The Igbomina Day celebration is expected to draw a large crowd of Igbomina indigenes from across the country and the diaspora. It promises to be a momentous occasion filled with cultural displays, networking opportunities, and a renewed commitment to the progress of Igbomina Land.
