A significant milestone has been achieved in Kwara South Senatorial District as Senator Oyelola Ashiru’s water project, launched in October, has successfully provided access to clean water to 18 underserved communities.
The project, aimed at addressing the longstanding issue of water scarcity in the region, has had a profound impact on the lives of thousands of residents.
The beneficiary communities include Oba-Isin, Isanlu-Isin, Oke-Onigbin, Olla, Odore, Owode Alla, Araromi, Ora Aiyegbaju, Imode, Iloffa, Ijomu Oro, Irebode Oro, Agunji, Ora, Akingbasa, Igbo Essa, Dapson Area, and Community Adeleke Rd.
Senator Ashiru, in a statement released on Sunday, expressed his satisfaction with the project’s progress.
The Deputy Senate Leader emphasized the importance of providing access to clean water as a fundamental human right and a crucial factor in improving public health and overall well-being.
“We are committed to making a positive impact on our constituency,” Senator Ashiru said. “This water project is just the beginning of our efforts to address the needs of our people. We will continue to identify and support communities that lack access to clean water and other essential services.”
The successful implementation of this project has earned Senator Ashiru widespread praise from community leaders and residents alike. They expressed their gratitude for his dedication to improving quality of life.
As the project enters its next phase, the focus will shift to identifying additional communities that require water supply interventions.
The Lawmaker reiterates steadfast in his commitment to expanding the project’s reach and ensuring that more people in Kwara South Senatorial District have access to clean water.
