The ongoing construction of a state-of-the-art sports center at the old Offa Amusement Park is progressing steadily, according to the project’s principal sponsor, Senator Oyelola Yisa Ashiru, Deputy Senate Leader and Senator representing Kwara South Senatorial District.
Upon completion, the sports center is expected to become a hub for physical activity, youth development, and sports advancement in the region. It will feature a range of facilities, including:
* Volleyball court
* Basketball court
* Lawn tennis court
* Children’s playground
* Pavilion
* Landscaped areas
* 7-aside football pitch with Astroturf
Senator Ashiru emphasized the importance of involving youth in the project and ensuring their active participation in sports and recreational activities.
The Lawmaker stated that the center will foster inclusivity, competitiveness, and a healthy lifestyle among the youth.
The project is a significant step towards promoting sports development and empowering the youth in Kwara State.
