In a New Year message obtained by 9japarrot, Prince Abolarin Alaba Sarafaadeen (Dansharafa), President of the Kwara South Youth Development Organisation (KWAYORG), has declared 2025 as the “KWAYORG Restoration Year”. This declaration marks a significant milestone in the organization’s journey towards uplifting communities and positioning Kwara South for excellence.
According to the President, 2025 will be defined by intentional actions, collaborative efforts, and a shared vision to restore the region to its former glory. He expressed his gratitude to members, leaders, Board of Trustees (BoT) members, and founding fathers for their unwavering support and dedication.
The President outlined a detailed roadmap of key activities for the KWAYORG 2025 calendar, including:
– Constitution Review and Amendments: A comprehensive review of the organization’s constitution to ensure it remains relevant and effective.
– Revalidation of Membership: An exercise to revalidate membership and ensure that all members are committed to the organization’s vision.
– By-Election for Balance and Effective Representation: A by-election to ensure balance and effective representation of all local governments in the KWAYORG Executive.
– KWAYORG Local Government Elections: Elections to be held in local governments to strengthen the organization’s presence at the grassroots level.
– KWAYORG Ramadan Lecture: A lecture series to promote Islamic values and knowledge during the Ramadan period.
– KWAYORG Half Hour on Radio: A radio program to promote the organization’s activities and engage with the public.
– Selection of Agro-Economy Training and Employment Beneficiaries: A program to select beneficiaries for agro-economy training and employment opportunities.
– Setup of Committee for Political Appointees Scorecards: A committee to be set up to track the performance of political appointees.
– Visitations and Consultations: Visitations and consultations to be held in preparation for the proposed Economic Summit.
– KWAYORG Football Competitions and Other Games: Football competitions and other games to be organized to promote sports development and youth engagement.
– One Year Anniversary in Office: A celebration to mark the President’s one year anniversary in office.
– The Great Summit and Launching: A summit to be held to launch the organization’s ultramodern headquarters, vehicle, and empowerment program for agro-economy beneficiaries.
– Reports of the Event: A comprehensive report to be compiled on the summit and its outcomes.
– Thank You Visits and Preparations for KWAYORG Summer Coaching: Thank you visits to be made to stakeholders and preparations to be made for the KWAYORG Summer Coaching program.
– Commencement of Summer Coaching: The summer coaching program to commence, providing training and mentorship opportunities for youth.
– KWAYORG Strategic Meeting with First-Class Obas: A strategic meeting to be held with first-class Obas to review the Great Summit report and chart a way forward.
– Inauguration of Committee for First Kwara South Cultural Fiesta: A committee to be inaugurated to plan and organize the first Kwara South Cultural Fiesta.
– Planning and Working Towards KWAYORG Lagos, Osun, and Abuja Branches: Plans to be made to establish KWAYORG branches in Lagos, Osun, and Abuja.
– KWAYORG Congress/Get-Together: A congress to be held to bring together members and stakeholders to discuss the organization’s progress and future plans.
– Full Preparation for KWAYORG Kwara South Cultural Fiesta: Preparations to be made for the KWAYORG Kwara South Cultural Fiesta, a celebration of the region’s rich cultural heritage.
