Tinubu Commissions Projects in Enugu

President Bola Tinubu on Saturday visited Enugu State, the first official trip to the state since assuming office on May 29, 2023.

In the Coal City State, the Commander-in-Chief inaugurated some projects embarked upon by the Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah-led administration.

Tinubu will inaugurate “30 smart green” schools, rural roads, and 150 patrol vehicles fitted with AI-embedded surveillance cameras.

Other projects to be commissioned included the 30 completed and equipped Enugu Smart Green Schools out of the 260 under construction across the 260 wards in the state and 60 completed and equipped Type 2 Primary Healthcare Centres out of the 260 under construction across the 260 wards in the state.

Others are the completed multi-auditorium and multi-functional Enugu International Conference Centre, 90 completed urban roads in Enugu City, a state-of-the-art Command and Control Centre as well as 150 patrol vehicles fitted with AI-embedded surveillance cameras.

He was accompanied by top dignitaries including the Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Kalu and the Minister of Works, Dave Umahi.

However, Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma and his Anambra and Ebonyi counterparts, Professor Charles Soludo and Francis Nwifiru, were noticeably absent. It is not clear if they sent their deputies to represent them.
