The BTA Foundation’s Igi Iwe Innovative initiative, which kicked off just a few days ago, poised to offer freely, 151 Jamb forms for bright but indigent tertiary inspiration prospects, grant educational scholarships to the Jambites that score 300 and vice and distribution of over 5000 educational materials is on the brink of announcing its list of selected applicants.
Sunday, February 9, 2025, marks a pivotal day for many hopefuls as the Foundation sets the stage to reveal the outcomes of a process designed to be both open and transparent.
Amofin Titilope Akogun, President of the BTA Foundation, has emphasized the integrity of the selection process. “We understand the high level of interest this initiative has garnered, and we assure all applicants that the selection was conducted with utmost fairness,” Akogun stated. However, he also acknowledged the limitations of capacity, extending an apology to those who won’t make the final cut. “We regret that we cannot accommodate everyone, but we hope those not selected understand the constraints we face.”
For those who have been selected, further engagement with the Foundation is on the horizon. “All successful applicants should be ready for additional counseling sessions. We aim to reach out to each of you soon,” Akogun added. he advised patience, noting that if no communication has been received by Wednesday, applicants should not despair as the Foundation will contact everyone in due time.
The distribution of notifications will occur in phases:
Irepodun Local Government: Successful candidates here can expect to hear from the Foundation by Monday, February 10th, or Tuesday, February 11th, at the latest.
Isin, Ekiti successful applicants should expect to be contacted on Wednesday and Thursday February 12th and 13th, 2025, while Oke Ero, Ifelodun and Oyun Local Government Guidance and Counselling for these areas will be sent out in subsequent batches following the initial announcements.
The BTA Foundation President, Amofin Akogun had stated that the Foundation is poised to guide the applicants through in their choices towards choosing right and towards a career driven towards employability when they graduate and not just Certificated graduates.
