Aare Akeweje of Oro Kingdom Appoints Olabimpe As LOC Chair For Akinola Cup 2025

The founder of the Oyebola Aniyaloye Foundation, Chief Engr. Paul Okikidayo Akinola, has announced the appointment of Mrs. Princess Amao Olabimpe to chair the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) for the Akinola Cup 2025.

This football tournament, marking the 4th edition of the Akinola Cup, is part of the foundation’s efforts to nurture young talents who will one day become renowned footballers.

Hailing from the Durotoye Royal family in Omu-Aran, Princess Olabimpe holds a B.Ed. in Guidance and Counseling. She is the sports coordinator at Ansarul Islam Grammar School, Ijomu Oro, and currently serves as the school counselor in the Ijomu Oro Zone.

Olabimpe is also the Chief Executive Officer of Princess Kitchen and Events.

Speaking with 9japarrot Media while making the announcement, the personal assistant to the foundation, Mr. Sulaimon Kehinde Guba, noted that preparations are underway for the 4th edition to expand across the Kwara South Senatorial District, as opposed to just the Oro community.

Guba highlighted that the founder, who also holds the title of Aare Akeweje of Oro Kingdom, is committed to building young people through human capital development and is eager to extend this support not only to the people of Oro but to all young people within his senatorial district.

He noted that the idea behind the football tournament is to unite young people and all communities within the district and to discover young talents who are deserving of global support and recognition.

He added that young people who perform exceptionally well will have the opportunity to be enrolled in the Aare Akeweje Football Academy, receiving all necessary support to realize their dreams.
