The Amofin Titilope Akogun That I Know- By Abdulmutekeem Olomu

I have worked with Amofin Akogun for the past 6 years. Out of these 6 years, 1 year was from a far distance. 5 years of progressive and continued relationship, mentoring me and recreating me for a productive tomorrow.

Towards the last Kwara South Youth Conference in 2019, I was marvelled at his unprecedented roadmaps for Kwara South. He was always commending a man as well, IB Something. I can’t remember his name vividly. As we toured Kwara South Leaders, community associations, Kwara South Stakeholders, Youth organisations and the Political Class. His message was clear, give us Sustainable Empowerment and Landmark Development in Kwara South.

The peak was when we visited the Deputy Governor; HE Kayode Alabi, his response to Amofin’s presentation shocked me! Perhaps it was unexpected or something else. The Deputy Governor after listening to Akogun Speak, remarked “If I were the Governor today, I will appoint you as my SSA Youth to the Governor or the Commisioner for Youth”. There was absolute silence in the house. The entire team was shocked including Baba Oyin Zubair and Oloriewe Raheem Adedoyin who led the team. I was very happy within me.

Oloriewe and Baba Oyin doused the tension and urged the team to keep their heads high as that was the beginning of the New Kwara South we were clamouring for!

This is a man I have seen consult for several political office holders on how to sustainable empower people. He is a master of his game in this area. You can hardly beat him in ideas, except you are operating on another level higher than his.

Sometimes I ask, where does he gets his inspirations from? He will sit with you and ideas will start dropping for him. Whether he has money to immediately execute those ideas or not. He is a man of ideas!

Amofin Titilope Akogun is not just a name; it is a symbol of hope, progress, and transformative leadership in Kwara South, Kwara State. Through his foundation and relentless efforts, he has touched countless lives, empowering the youth, supporting women, and improving infrastructure in the region. However, his vision extends far beyond the present. Amofin Akogun envisions a future where Kwara South becomes a model of sustainable development, economic prosperity, and inclusive governance in Nigeria.

Whether in the Green or Red Chambers by 2027, I am confident, Kwara Southerners are beginning to see, that, The Future is Here, and it is Time to Scale up to the future for Amofin to represent us.

No matter the challenge, no matter how daunting it may appear, Amofin Akogun will Scale Up and redesign a Kwara South of Our Dreams.

I am Abdulmutekeem Olomu. I am from Omu aran in Irepodun Local Government, Kwara State.
