Van Persie Gets New Coaching Job


Former prominent footballer , Robin van Persie, has been formally named as the new head coach of Feyenoord Rotterdam.

“Welcome home, Robin van Persie. A new journey begins,” the club announced in a statement on Sunday.

Renowned transfer analyst Fabrizio Romano reported that the Dutch football icon has signed a contract that will see him lead Feyenoord until June 2027.

Van Persie, who had an illustrious playing career with Feyenoord, Arsenal, and Manchester United, now returns to De Kuip to begin his managerial career at the club where he first made his mark.

Romano also shared the news on X (formerly Twitter) last Friday, adding that René Hake will join Van Persie’s coaching staff.

“Robin van Persie signs as Feyenoord’s new head coach until June 2027. René Hake, former assistant to Erik ten Hag, will be part of his team,” Romano wrote.

Hake, who previously worked under Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag, brings a wealth of experience to support Van Persie in his new leadership role.
