As the dry season intensifies, water scarcity has emerged as a critical challenge, disrupting households, businesses, and public health. Recognizing the urgency of this crisis, Prof. Ali Ahmad has launched the Ali Ahmad Community Borehole Rehabilitation Intervention Project—a bold and strategic initiative aimed at restoring access to clean and safe water across the state.
Following a comprehensive needs assessment, the first phase of this intervention is set to rehabilitate boreholes in 100 communities across the State where access to potable water has been severely compromised. The program has already commenced, beginning in Oloje area, paving the way for further interventions across the State.
Additionally, in Tankapfu community of Patigi Local Government Area of Kwara State, Professor Ali Ahmad’s ongoing water restoration, has been fixed, and restorationLalagi and KUCHITAGI community is ongoing.
This initiative is more than just an infrastructure project—it is a lifeline. It reaffirms the PDP’s people-centered leadership and its commitment to prioritizing the needs of the people. Through Prof. Ali Ahmad’s dedication and hands-on approach, this intervention will significantly alleviate the daily struggles of countless families, ensuring that clean water is not a privilege but a fundamental right.
