Tinubu Approves Automatic Employment for 774 National Health Fellows

President Bola Tinubu has granted automatic employment to all 774 participants of the National Health Fellowship (NHF) upon the completion of their program. The NHF, a groundbreaking initiative launched under Tinubu’s administration, aims to strengthen Nigeria’s healthcare system by equipping young professionals with the skills and experience needed to address the country’s medical workforce challenges.

Addressing the fellows, President Tinubu praised their dedication and described them as the “pillars” of Nigeria’s healthcare system. “You are the pillars of our health system,” he stated, emphasizing their critical role in delivering quality medical services across the nation.

The NHF program is part of the government’s broader efforts to revitalize the health sector and ensure access to skilled healthcare professionals in underserved areas. By offering automatic employment, the initiative seeks to retain talent within the country’s healthcare system and improve service delivery.

This move underscores the Tinubu administration’s commitment to investing in human capital development and addressing gaps in Nigeria’s healthcare infrastructure. The fellows are expected to contribute significantly to achieving the government’s goal of a robust and efficient health sector.
