Renowned All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain and philanthropist, Prof. Wale Sulaiman, has donated over 1,000 bags of rice and other food items to Muslims and Christians in Kwara State.
The donation, which was made through the Kwara State APC party structure, is aimed at alleviating the economic burdens of the Ramadan and Lent season.
Speaking during the presentation of the food items, Ambassador Sodiq Boladale, Public Relations Officer to Prof. Wale Sulaiman, said the donation is a testament to Prof. Sulaiman’s commitment to the welfare of the people.
“The initiative is designed to ease the economic burdens during the fasting season.”, Boladale stated.
Also speaking, Alhaji Prince Moshood Kunle Adedoye, Offa LG APC Chairman and Chairman of Chairmen in Kwara South, praised Prof. Sulaiman’s kindness and generosity, saying he is the kind of leader needed in Kwara South who’s keen to always support the people despite not being in power.
Similarly, Hon. James Kayode Bamidele, APC Party Chairman, Oke-Ero LG, thanked Prof. Sulaiman for the donation, praying that God would continue to prosper him.
The Ramadan package also includes Ramadan lectures and charity giving on radio stations, promoting kindness, compassion and community spirit.
Representatives from across the state were present at the scene to pick up their consignments of the donation. The food items were presented to the beneficiaries through the APC party chairmen across the state.

Other APC chieftains present at the occasion included Comr. Rotimi Babatunde, Convener, Kwara South Youths For Prof Wale Sulaiman; Rashidatu Kasimu, Irepodun APC Chairman; and Alhaji Fatai Mustapha Leko, APC Chairman of Ward Chairmen, among others.
