As the economic hardship bites harder, the Kwara South Youth Development Organization (KWAYORG) have called on Stakeholders to support the needy in the spirit of the holy month of Ramadan and the Christian Lenten season.

The call was made by the President of Kwara South Youth Organization (KWAYORG), Prince Abolarin Alábá Dansharafa, in a statement made available to newsmen.

According to Prince Dansharafa, the current economic reality has made it imperative for stakeholders to come together and support those in need.

The statement reads;

The economic hardship currently being experienced across the nation has placed a heavy burden on many families, especially in Kwara South. Prices of essential goods continue to rise, businesses are struggling, and the most vulnerable members of our society are facing unprecedented challenges. Now, more than ever, the spirit of giving must be embraced to support those in need.

As both the holy month of Ramadan and the Christian Lenten season are ongoing—a period of reflection, sacrifice, and charity—it is imperative that we, as stakeholders in Kwara South, demonstrate compassion and generosity. Giving is not just an act of kindness; it is a moral and religious duty that strengthens the bonds of our community and uplifts those who are struggling.

In this regard, we acknowledge and commend the relentless efforts of the Executive Governor of Kwara State, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, CON, who has remained steadfast in his commitment to alleviating the suffering of our people through various social intervention programs. His administration continues to implement policies aimed at reducing poverty and empowering the less privileged.

Likewise, we recognize the unwavering dedication of Prof. Wale Sulaiman, CON, President RNZ Foundation and Pro Chancellor FUHHI. whose consistent outreach programs and philanthropic activities have provided immense relief to the people of Kwara South and beyond. His tireless contributions to healthcare, education, and community development serve as an exemplary model of selflessness and leadership.

We call upon all well-meaning individuals, community leaders, organizations, and stakeholders in Kwara South to follow their example. Let us extend a helping hand to the poor, the widows, the orphans, and the less fortunate around us. Whether through food donations, financial assistance, or other means of support, every act of giving makes a difference.

The current economic reality may be tough, but through solidarity and generosity, we can help each other navigate these trying times. May this season inspire us all to give, not just out of abundance, but out of love and shared humanity.
