
Dr. Muheebah Dankaka, Executive Chairman of the Federal Character Commission, has congratulated Nigerian Muslims on the successful completion of Ramadan Fast and Eid Al-Fitr celebration.
In her Sallah Message obtained by 9japarrot media, Dr. Dankaka stated, “We thank the Munificent ALLAH for the grace to witness this year’s Eid-el-fitri celebration after the Holy Month of Ramadan.
She emphasized that Ramadan is a sacred spiritual obligation as one of the five pillars of Islam, which involves abstinence, self-discipline, self-reflection, self-purification, gratitude, and total submission to the will of ALLAH.
She further noted that beyond the self-abnegation and spiritual rejuvenation, the fasting period has also helped to improve moral character, refined minds, and engaged Muslims in fervent prayers and supplications to ALLAH. She stressed that the spiritual exercise has also helped Muslims to become better citizens in line with the teachings of Prophet Muhammed (S.A.W.), upholding patriotism, dedication to duty, honesty, and fairness to all.
Dr. Dankaka stressed that at the heart of the Islamic faith is the requirement to commit to wholesome living, which entails love for one another, fellow humans, communities, and country. She urged Muslims to constantly seek to become better citizens in line with the teachings of Prophet Muhammed (S.A.W.), upholding patriotism, dedication to duty, honesty, and fairness to all.
Dr. Dankaka concluded by congratulating all Muslims on the occasion of Eid-el-fitri and wishing them a joyful celebration.
