••• Reaffirms APC’s Commitment to Infrastructure Development

As part of his sustained efforts to ensure inclusive development across Kwara North Senatorial District, Distinguished Senator Sadiq Suleiman Umar (3SU), on Tuesday, 15th April 2025 led a delegation of stakeholders and political associates on a comprehensive inspection of ongoing federal road projects in the region.
The inspection exercise covered the Malete – Shao Junction and the expansive Bode – Saadu – Kaiama – Kosubosu Road, both of which serve as vital arteries connecting communities across Kwara North. The visit was a clear demonstration of the Senator’s proactive approach to oversight, transparency, and accountability in the execution of critical infrastructure projects.
During the tour, Senator Sadiq Umar expressed satisfaction with the progress recorded so far on the Bode – Saadu – Kaiama – Kosubosu road and restated his commitment to ensuring that the people of Kwara North benefit from quality, durable infrastructure.
> “The people of Kwara North are immensely grateful for this road. The significance of the project is beyond its economic and developmental value, it is a socio-cultural road for us, as it transverses the whole of Kwara North, connecting all five LGAs together.”
At the Malete – Shao Junction, Senator Umar acknowledged the challenges currently being experienced by commuters and residents due to the division at the junction which leads to so much congestion in the busy area. He noted the increasing risks of accidents and emphasized that Government is aware of the challenges and will soon address it, solutions such as flyovers and other safety-enhancing infrastructure along the route is being pursued by the Governor and we your representatives at the federal level.
He expressed deep appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR for his administration’s commitment to infrastructural renewal and rural development. He also commended the Executive Governor of Kwara State, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, CON, for his continuous support and collaboration with the Federal Government to improve the living standards of citizens across the state through his national influence and ensuring that policy changes did not affect these road projects.
Senator Sadiq reaffirmed his dedication to sustaining advocacy and legislative backing for more developmental projects that will uplift the people of Kwara North while urging the contractors to maintain professionalism and deliver within the stipulated timeline.
