
The Sarkin Gobir of Ilorin Emirate and Wazirin Kasar Hausa, Alhaji Yakubu Garba Gobir, has extended his heartfelt congratulations to Alhaji Abdulganiyu Saka Cook-Olododo on his recent turbaning as the Gaskiya Ngeri of Ilorin Emirate.
In a statement issued on Friday, Alhaji Yakubu Gobir described the turbaning as “a well-deserved honour for a man of courage, integrity, and unwavering commitment to the development of our Emirate.”
Alhaji Gobir commended Olododo’s long-standing record of public service, highlighting his impactful contributions both as a lawmaker and a respected community leader.
“His new title is a recognition of his years of service and dedication to truth and justice,” the Sarkin Gobir said.
Waziri also expressed deep appreciation to the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR, for what he described as a wise and commendable decision in bestowing the title of Gaskiya Ngeri on Alhaji Cook-Olododo. He prayed for the Emir’s continued good health and a long, peaceful reign.
Alhaji Gobir concluded with prayers for the newly-turbaned Gaskiya Ngeri, saying, “I pray Almighty Allah grants him wisdom, strength, and continued guidance as he carries out the responsibilities attached to this revered title. May he remain a beacon of honesty and service in our land.”
