Ashiru, representing Kwara South senatorial district, in his message to celebrate Easter with the Christians, urges the faithful to reflect deeply on the significance of this period which epitomises sacrifice, love, peace, and patience
Senator Ashiru said such periods of religious significance as Easter reminds us of the existence of God and his mercy on mankind
“The life and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ remains a key foundation of the Christian faith, and a seal of hope for believers.
“This solemn commemoration of the Lord Jesus Christ’s death and glorious resurrection should renew our resolve to live in harmony and show tolerance to people of other faiths
“It is important that as brothers and sisters, we must emulate the virtue of sacrifice and mutual respect for one another in our dealings as we work for a better society.
” I urge Christians to seize this moment for spiritual rejuvenation and ensure that their activities are not at variance with the life and teachings of Jesus Christ.
