••• Applauds Gov AbdulRazaq On Swift Interventions, Reassures Baruten Communities of Safety

Senator Sadiq Suleiman Umar, representing Kwara North Senatorial District, on Thursday, 1st May, 2025, paid a condolence visit to Baruten Local Government Area to commiserate with the Emirs and people of Okuta, Ilesha-Baruba, Kosubosu, and Yashikira following the recent tragic incidents that claimed the lives of some constituents.
With a heavy heart, Senator Sadiq extended his deepest sympathies to the traditional institutions and grieving families, describing the incidents as deeply painful and a collective loss to the entire Kwara North. He offered prayers for the souls of the departed and asked Almighty Allah (SWT) to grant comfort and strength to the bereaved.
During the visit, the Senator expressed appreciation to the Executive Governor of Kwara State, His Excellency Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq CON, for his prompt intervention, including his personal visit to the Senatorial district earlier and swift steps taken to strengthen security presence. He noted that the Governor’s actions demonstrated true leadership and a sincere commitment to the safety and peace of all Kwarans.
Senator Sadiq also reassured residents of Baruten that their communities remain safe and urged everyone to continue with their normal activities. He called on the people to remain vigilant, cooperate with security agencies, and promptly report any suspicious activities in their environment.
“If you see anything, say something. Peace and security are a collective responsibility, and we must all remain united and supportive of ongoing efforts to protect our people and communities.”
The Senator’s visit to the the Emirs of Okuta, Ilesha-Baruba, Yashikira and the people of Baruten at large further reflects his commitment to compassionate and people-driven leadership.
