Kwara born Abdulwaheed Olamilekan Sulaiman, a prominent youth advocate and media entrepreneur popular known as Kwara Aiyekoto, has announced his immediate resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kwara State.
His decision was formally conveyed in a letter addressed to the Acting Chairman of the PDP in Adewole Ward, Ilorin West Local Government Area, dated Thursday, June 12, 2025.
In his letter made available to 9japarrot Media, Sulaiman, an Associate Member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (ANIPR), stated;
“I write to inform you of my decision to resign my membership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Adewole Ward.”
He elaborated on the reasons for his departure, explaining that as a youth advocate and media entrepreneur, and for nearly three (3) years of his membership, he believes it is time to return to his business and advance his academic horizon.
“My business and academics need me more at this critical period.” He said.
In this regard, I write formally to tender my resignation as a card-carrying member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kwara State, with immediate effect.
The PR expert noted that a copy of his membership card was attached to his resignation letter.
Copies of the resignation letter were also sent to the State Party Chairman of Kwara PDP and the PDP Chairman of Ilorin West Local Government Area.
