Senator Sadiq Suleiman Umar, Chairman, Senate Committee on Trade and Investment and Chairman, Senate Committee on Rules and Business, joined President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR (represented by the Minister of State for Industry, Senator John Owan Enoh), Executive Governor of Kwara State, His Excellency Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq CON (represented by Deputy Governor, Mr. Kayode Alabi), and other high-profile dignitaries at the 65th Annual General Meeting and Conference of the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA), held at the Banquet Hall, Ilorin, Kwara State.
In his remarks, Senator Sadiq commended NACCIMA’s consistent role in championing private sector development and reiterated the National Assembly’s commitment to policy reforms that drive industrialization, ease of doing business, and sustainable trade partnerships.
Other dignitaries in attendance included the Honourable Minister of Defence, Alhaji Mohammed Badaru Abubakar (who served as Chairman of the Occasion); Honourable Minister of Trade and Investment, Dr. Jumoke Oduwole ; Honourable Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, Prince Lateef Fagbemi SAN; Executive Chairperson of the Federal Character Commission, Hajia Muheeba Farida Dankaka; newly elected NACCIMA National President, Alhaji Jani Ibrahim (a proud indigene of Kwara State); Chairman of KAM Holdings, Dr. Kamorudeen Yusuf; and Honourable Commissioner for Business, Innovation and Technology, Hon. Damilola Yusuf Adelodun. Traditional rulers, members of the Kwara State Executive Council, and stakeholders from across Nigeria also graced the event.
Senator Sadiq congratulated Alhaji Jani Ibrahim on his emergence as NACCIMA President and pledged continuous collaboration between the legislature and organized private sector stakeholders to unlock Nigeria’s full economic potential.
