TETFund Board Member, Engr. Nurudeen Assesses Interventions in Nasarawa State Institutions

Engr. Nurudeen Adeyemi, Board Member representing the North Central geopolitical zone on the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) Board, has paid a working visit to Isa Mustapha Agwai Polytechnic and the Federal University, Lafia, Nasarawa State. The visit is part of his ongoing familiarisation tour of beneficiary institutions across the zone.

During the visit, Engr. Nurudeen reiterated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s unwavering commitment to restoring peace and ensuring security in the North Central region. He lauded the Honourable Minister of Education, Dr. Tunji Alausa for his dedication to repositioning the education sector in Nigeria.

Engr. Nurudeen also commended the leadership of the TETFund Board under its Chairman, His Excellency Rt. Hon. Aminu Bello Masari, for providing visionary guidance that enables the Fund to deliver effectively on its mandate.

While engaging with the management of the two institutions, he acknowledged their resilience in staying focused on their mission despite the challenges facing the region. He described Isa Mustapha Agwai Polytechnic as a key driver of technical skills and support for the local economy, and praised the Federal University Lafia as a fast-growing institution committed to achieving parity with its peers in the zone.

According to him, the purpose of the visit was to assess and evaluate the relationship and level of partnership between TETFund and the institutions, to ensure alignment with national development goals in the education sector.

The Rector of Isa Mustapha Agwai Polytechnic, Dr. Nurudeen Maifata, and the Vice Chancellor of Federal University Lafia, Prof. Shehu Abdulrahman, represented by Dr. Ilemona Adofu, both expressed appreciation to TETFund for its various interventions. They commended the Board and Management for spearheading initiatives that are accelerating growth and development in Nigeria’s tertiary institutions.
