
The Kwara Coding and Digital Literacy Programme is set to launch its Summer Holiday Edition, focusing on Coding and Innovation Thinking, beginning Monday, August 4, 2025. This initiative underscores the Kwara State Government’s commitment to equipping its students with future-ready digital skills.
In a recent announcement to school representatives, Hon. Kayode Ishola, Special Assistant to the Governor on Digital Innovations, expressed profound gratitude to school heads and administrators for their focused support since the program’s inception. He acknowledged their pivotal partnership in delivering seamless learning experiences for students across the state, affirming the government’s continued commitment to support them.
The Summer Holiday Edition’s curriculum is specifically designed to “enhance creativity, problem-solving, and technical skills critical competencies for the digital age. Participating students and their parents are urged to prepare fully for this “transformative learning opportunity.
To ensure inclusivity and that no learner is left behind, a continuation session will run concurrently for schools that joined the program late or are yet to begin. School heads have been urged to emphasize the importance of student participation during the holiday period.
Hon. Ishola also confirmed that instructors’ remuneration has been arranged to support facilitation efforts, and the coordination team is readily available for inquiries.
The Special Assistant commended His Excellency, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq CON, for his visionary leadership and investment in digital education, which is empowering Kwara students with essential skills for the future.
This program is a flagship initiative of the AbdulRazaq administration, aiming to position Kwara State as a hub for innovation and technology. Previous reports indicate that the program has significantly expanded, targeting over 7,500 students across 50 public secondary schools, making it one of the largest state-led digital literacy initiatives in Nigeria.
