
Senator Sadiq Suleiman Umar (3SU) representing Kwara North Senatorial District on thursday, 24th July 2025 concluded the physical Mentorship session for the inaugural edition of his Mentorship and Fellowship Program at the Ilorin Innovation Hub, located in the Kwara State capital city.
The ceremony was characterized by the presentation of cash stipends and certificates to outstanding participants drawn from across the 16 LGAs of Kwara State who benefited from virtual and in-person interactions with seasoned Facilitators put together by the Central Planning Committee (CPC) for the program.
The weeklong program empowered young minds through intensive training in entrepreneurship, leadership, innovation, and civic engagement. Participants gained hands-on experience, mentorship and networking opportunities to support scaling of their ideas.
Senator Sadiq reiterated through the Central Planning Committee (CPC) while speaking with the media that the initiative designed to reorient and position Kwara Youths for greatness is a springboard for youth empowerment and promised continued investment in young talents across the state and beyond.

The Mentees had earlier in he week enjoyed the previlege of having their Laptops provided for the 1 week mentorship and 3 – 6 months Fellowship program presented to them personally by His Excellency Gov. Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq CON (Executive Governor of Kwara State and Chairman of Nigerian Governor’s Forum) when he visited to identify with the 3SU Youth centric program.
Gov. Abdulrazaq affirmed its alignment with the Kwara State/Federal Government youth development initiatives which are ongoing, increasing access to funding, mentorship, and innovation support through the Ilorin Innovation Hub and other initiatives. He commended Sen. Sadiq Umar for setting the pace and encouraged other previleged Kwarans to keep complementing Government for Kwara’s shared prosperity in all sectors.
Mentees who were shortlisted from over 4,000 applications received on the program, Guests and other Stakeholders across Kwara State and beyond have continued to send encomiums to the Sponsor of the Program, Sen. Sadiq Suleiman Umar (3SU) and the Organisers describing the 3SU Mentorship and Fellowship Program as unprecedented in Kwara’s history and a step in the right direction to refocusing Nigerian Youths towards capacity building and community impact.
