••• Calls on Youths in the State to emulate their exemplary representation of Kwara’s image to the nation
Senator Sadiq Suleiman Umar, representing Kwara North Senatorial District, has extended heartfelt congratulations to James Peninah, an indigene of Edu Local Government Area, and seven (7) other distinguished corps members from Kwara State who were recently honoured by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for their exemplary performance during the 2023/2024 National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) year.
The honorees from Kwara State are: Kareem Jeelel Amoloye (Ekiti), Adebiyi Lekan Hamzat (Offa), Aminat Ajoke Hassan (Offa), Alabi Omotayo (Ifelodun), Lawal Victor (Ifelodun), Lawal Oluwatobi (Ifelodun), James Peninah (Edu) and Israel Ayeni (Isin).
In a congratulatory message, Senator Sadiq expressed particular pride in James Peninah, who hails from his senatorial district, describing her as “a beacon of hope and an inspiration to young people across Kwara North.” He commended her discipline, commitment, and excellence which earned her the national recognition.
The Senator also praised the other honorees, acknowledging their contributions and conduct during the service year while also calling on Youths across Kwara to emulate their brilliant showcase of the firm Kwara character of excellence.
“This recognition by President Tinubu is a resounding validation that diligence, patriotism, and integrity are not only noticed, but also rewarded, James Peninah’s achievement is particularly inspiring for the youth of Edu LGA and the entire Kwara North, showing that with dedication, our young people can excel at the highest levels.”
He thanked all eight honorees for being worthy ambassadors of Kwara State and encouraged them to uphold the values that brought them national honour as they transition into new roles in the public service, following the employment offer approved by the President.
Senator Sadiq further commended President Bola Tinubu for sustaining a culture of honouring excellence, noting that it serves as a strong motivator for other youths across Nigeria to give their best in service to the nation.
