The Chairman Senate Committee on Southeast Development Commission (SEDC) who is the Senator representing Abia North Senatorial District at the 10th Senate, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu has attracted and completed close to 60 projects ranging from Roads, Schools, Educational materials, Solar Power Street Lights, Agricultural materials and Equipment etc.
We have urged anyone to challenge the published list of verifiable projects. No one has boldly come out to refute that these projects were indeed attracted and completed by Distinguished Senator Orji Uzor in Ohafia LGA, precisely in Udumeze.
Instead of taking for granted these laudable and economically driven projects, the right thing to do is to encourage Senator Orji Uzor Kalu for attracting and completing these projects by voting him again for continuity.
Some of these roads are novel roads that have never been done before in history. These roads open up and give access to farmers in the communities to easily go to their farm, cultivate, weed and harvest their farm produce and also take them to market to sell.
These activities have positive economic ripple effects on the lives of the people. It goes a long way in improving on the standard of living of the people in these communities, of which the National Bureau of Statistics NBS have repeatedly reported that Abia North have been marked as one of highest senatorial zone with the least poverty index, which means that these projects like roads, schools, educational materials, solar street lights, consistent empowerment, healthcare have direct advantage on the well-being and standards of living of Abia North constituents.
