
Plans are now are now concluded for the third phase of the distribution of farm produce from the MOK Foundation to underprivileged groups in Kwara State. The MOK Foundation, recognized for its significant charitable contributions in Kwara, is set to distribute produce harvested from its expansive 50 hectares of agricultural land.
According to Mr. Saheed Temitope Lawal, the executive director of the foundation, the upcoming distribution will primarily focus on processed cassava. He noted that this initiative aims to support those in need, stating, “Just like we have done in the past, this distribution will follow a similar model. We will be giving out the processed cassava on a first-come, first-served basis.” Mr. Lawal also mentioned that they are in the final stages of processing the cassava, ensuring that they adhere to the foundation’s tradition of transparency and community engagement. The exact date for the distribution will be communicated to the public soon, as it is being finalized.
It is worth noting that the foundation previously announced the acquisition of 50 hectares of land located in Igbonna, within the Oyun Local Government Area of Kwara State. This land was specifically purchased to cultivate crops and facilitate the distribution of harvested produce to the local population, reinforcing the foundation’s commitment to improving food security and supporting those most in need in the community.
