Senator Sadiq Concludes 2-Day Free Medical Outreach In Moro LGA

The Senator representing Kwara North Senatorial District, Senator Sadiq Suleiman Umar, has concluded a two-day free medical outreach in Moro Local Government Area, drawing an impressive turnout and earning widespread commendations from constituents.

The outreach, held on Thursday 14th and Friday 15th August 2025, took place across three centres – Cottage Hospital, Shao; Model Primary Healthcare Centre, Jebba; and Primary Healthcare Centre, Bode-Saadu providing critical health services to vulnerable residents at the grassroots.

Speaking through his Media Team, Senator Sadiq described the initiative as a “last-mile” access to healthcare for Kwarans, complementing Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s vision of expanding quality healthcare across the state.

“For six (6) consecutive years, we have sustained medical outreaches to rural communities, ensuring our people, especially the less privileged, have access to basic and preventive care. This programme is about restoring hope and ensuring no one is left behind.”

The outreach featured medical doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and community health workers delivering free consultations, treatments, medications, and health education. Beneficiaries received care for various conditions including malaria, typhoid, hypertension, diabetes, asthma, and eye infections.

Sen. Sadiq stressed the importance of regular check-ups to detect illnesses early and prevent complications, noting that proper healthcare can improve quality of life and prevent premature deaths.

He appreciated the Federal Neuro-Psychiatric Hospital, Budo-Egba, medical teams, and community volunteers for their support, and reaffirmed his commitment to people-centred programmes that improve health outcomes across Kwara North.
