Kwara Coding & Digital Literacy Programme Demonstrates Exceptional Growth in Week 2

•••Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development Validates Remarkable Student Progress in Digital Competency Development

The second week of the Kwara Coding and Digital Literacy Summer Holiday Edition has yielded outstanding results, with participating students showing accelerated mastery of critical digital skills. This flagship initiative of the AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s administration, implemented through the Office of the Special Assistant on Digital Innovation, continues to effectively transition Kwara’s youth from digital consumers to proficient creators.

A specialized monitoring team from the Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development’s ICT Unit conducted comprehensive evaluations across multiple training centers in Ilorin. Under the lead of Mrs. Jimoh Hafsat Onaolapo, the assessment team documented exceptional teaching standards and notable student achievements.

“The accelerated competency development we’ve observed exceeds expectations,”remarked Mrs. Jimoh Hafsat. “With over 85% comprehension rates across centers, this programme perfectly embodies our strategic vision for digital education. The students’ ability to apply concepts in practical scenarios particularly demonstrates the program’s effectiveness in preparing our youth for the digital workforce.”


Participating students have demonstrated proficiency in Python programming fundamentals and web development, developed advanced problem-solving capabilities through debugging exercises and achieved an exceptional 85%+ average comprehension score.



The program enters its third week with an enhanced curriculum featuring Advanced Python programming modules, Introduction to mobile application development and Interactive digital innovation projects

Currently engaging thousands of students across multiple centers in intensive training tracks such as  Web Development and Python Programming, depending on their assigned centres, Innovation Thinking forms the mandatory core curriculum delivered to all participants regardless of their center’s technical specialization, ensuring every student develops crucial problem-solving and digital creativity skills.

Kwara State is establishing new benchmarks in digital inclusion and youth empowerment.
