TETFund Board Member, Engr. Nurudeen Commiserates with APC National Chairman over Mother’s Death

Member of the Board of Trustees of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) and stalwart of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from Kwara State, Engr. Nurudeen Adeyemi Balogun, has expressed deep condolences to the National Chairman of the APC, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, on the passing of his mother, Mama Lydia Goshwe-Yilwatda.

Mama Lydia, aged 83, passed away in the early hours of Sunday, August 17, 2025, at the University of Jos Teaching Hospital after a brief illness. She was a devout Christian, community leader, and pillar of the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN), where she worked alongside her late husband, Reverend Toma Yilwatda, to spread the gospel and serve communities across Plateau, Bauchi, Borno, and Yobe States.

In his condolence message, Engr. Adeyemi described Mama Lydia as “a virtuous woman of faith whose life embodied humility, service, and dedication to God and humanity.”

On behalf of my family and political associates, I extend my heartfelt condolences to our National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, and the entire Yilwatda family. Mama’s passing is painful, but her legacy of compassion, selflessness, and devotion to community will remain evergreen. I pray for God to comfort the family and grant Mama’s soul eternal rest,” he said.

Engr. Adeyemi further urged the APC family nationwide to stand in solidarity with the Chairman in this moment of grief, noting that Mama Lydia’s life was a blessing not only to her children but also to the broader society she served faithfully.
