••• Applauds Kwara Govt on Swift Response

The attention of the Executive Chairman of Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State, Hadji Abdulrasheed Femi Yusuf, has been drawn to certain comments suggesting that his administration is not doing enough to address security challenges in our Local Government.
This is not the case. The Chairman had earlier scheduled an Executive Meeting with the Council Management on Tuesday, 19th of August, 2025 to provide detailed updates on security measuresbeing implemented across the Local Government. A session with the Vigilante Group was also planned to hold at the Secretariat in Share.
However, the meeting had to be rescheduled because the Chairman was in Ilorin attending a high-level technical security meeting with the Governor and some critical stakeholders to deliberate on urgent security and developmental matters.
The reason for the postponement was properly communicated to the concerned stakeholders. During this period, his phone was not with him, as he was fully engaged in the session.
The Chairman reiterates that security is a collective responsibility. All stakeholders — from community leaders and security outfits to government agencies — are working tirelessly to restore peace and protect our people.
Let it also be made clear that the Kwara State Government, in collaboration with the Office of the National Security Adviser (NSA), has been adopting different strategic and coordinated approaches to dismantle criminal activities in our communities.
For the record, the Chairman remains accessible and approachable. He is always at the Secretariat in Share and is reachable both physically and via phone whenever he is not engaged in official duties.
We urge everyone to remain calm and continue supporting the collective efforts aimed at restoring peace across Ifelodun Local Government Area.
