Renowned philanthropist and community developer, Engr Nurudeen Adeyemi has donated N3 millions to the people of Ajase-Ipo following the recent fire outbreak that destroyed several shops at the Kara market, Ajase-Ipo apo.
The fire incident which occurred on August 20, 2025 drew the attention of the state government prior to the visit of Engr Nurudeen Adeyemi, the founder of ENACT to the ancient city on Wednesday in a bid to support the people towards mitigating the effect of damages caused by the outbreak.
The Esie born philanthropist on behalf of his delegation visited the Olupo of Ajase-Ipo, Oba Ismail Yahaya Alebiosu, and the affected traders sympathised with them and offered financial support.
The delegation, led by Engr. Bayo Alao including Hon. Tunde Fadipe, Hon. Aminat Folake Yusuf, and Dr. Babatunde Salami conveyed ENACT Principal’s condolences and pledged his continued support for the people of Ajase-Ipo noting that they are not alone in this critical time.



In his remarks, Engr Bayo noted that the group is here on behalf of their Principal, Engr. Nurudeen Adeyemi, to sympathize with his Royal Majesty and the people of Ajase-Ipo on the recent fire outbreak.
“Our principal, a known community developer, wanted to assure the victims that they are not alone in their difficult time”, He added.
He further added that Engr Adeyemi has offered a donation of N3 million to support and mitigate the adverse effects of the fire accidents on the market traders.
“Our principal said we should support you with this token in his absence and has reassured that he’ll not hesitate to physically pay you a courtesy visit when he’s around” He added.
On her part, Honourable Aminat Folake Yusuf who was also part of the delegations said what interest Engr Nurudeen Adeyemi most is serving Humanity.




“He has sent us here today to send his regards, because the incident is a personal loss to him as well as this visit is to re-echoed his love and passion for this community and the people of Ajase-Ipo” she added.








Speaking, the Babaloja of Ajase-Ipo land, Hon. Bello Ganiyu Olubuwade expressed gratitude to the delegation for reaching out to them in the trial times, noting that the gesture is one of many good deeds that Engr Nurudeen Adeyemi exhibits irrespective of political biases.

He prayed to God to continue to bless him and grant him the highest level of reward while acknowledging that his support and contributions means a lot to the people, the market and Ajase-Ipo as a whole.
Alhaji Shehu Garba, the Sarkin Kara Ajase-Ipo, praised Adeyemi as a household name in the community, acknowledging his positive contributions and thanking him for standing with the people in a time of distress.


The Olupo of Ajase-Ipo, His Royal Majesty Oba Ismail Yahaya Alebiosu, expressed profound appreciation for the gesture, praising Adeyemi’s character and commitment to humanity.
“He is a special breed known for his honesty and straightforwardness,” the monarch said.
He further noted that Adeyemi, despite not being a native of the land, has consistently invested in the community. The monarch specifically highlighted Adeyemi’s efforts in human capital development through an Innovation Hub established in the community, which has trained young people in digital skills over the years.
Engr. Nurudeen knows humanity and he’s decent, the revered monarch added, pointing out that Adeyemi’s continuous support for Ajase-Ipo is indeed remarkable.

Adeyemi, an engineer and entrepreneur with a background in the automotive and aerospace industries, including a role at SpaceX, is a Member of the Board of Trustees for the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund). His commitment to developing Kwara State’s technology and human capital is a recurring theme in his public activities. He is also known for founding the Igbomina Mobile Clinic and supporting initiatives to provide clean water to rural communities.
The delegation’s visit, which also had in attendance the Babaloja and Iyaloja of Ajase-Ipo, Hon. Bello Ganiyu Olubuwade and Alhaja Falilat Asunmoge included a tour of the burnt market to assess the extent of the damage.




The fire, which was reportedly caused by a cooking fire that was not properly extinguished, destroyed 22 plank shops and six container shops.
9japarrot learnt that the swift response of the Kwara State Fire Service prevented the fire from spreading to the rest of the market.
