Kwara Announces N8.5 Million Hajj Fare for 2026 Pilgrimage

The Kwara State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has officially commenced the sale of forms for the 2026 Hajj pilgrimage, with the total cost set at N8.5 million per person.


This was disclosed in a statement made available to 9japarrot media by the Executive Secretary of the Board, Alhaji AbdulSalam Abdulkadir, during a press briefing in Ilorin.

Alhaji Abdulkadir stated that the total fare was determined by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), which has allocated a total of 3,762 slots to Kwara State.
Payment Details and Requirements
According to the Executive Secretary, intending pilgrims must have a valid international passport and complete all registration processes before the deadline.


He announced that Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has approved an initial deposit of N5 million for residents of the state who wish to participate in the pilgrimage. Pilgrims are required to pay the balance before the final deadline of October 8, 2025.


Alhaji Abdulkadir expressed profound gratitude to Governor AbdulRazaq for his consistent support, which he said ensures a comfortable and spiritually enriching experience for all pilgrims from the state, both in Nigeria and in Saudi Arabia.
