NICO Boss, Otunba Ajiboye Appoints Segun Olowokoko As Political Aide in Kwara

The Executive Secretary and CEO of the National Institute for Cultural Orientation (NICO), Otunba Biodun Ajiboye, has announced the appointment of Mr. Segun A. Raphael, popularly known as Olowokoko, as his Personal Assistant on Political Matters in Kwara State.

The appointment, which takes immediate effect, was made public on Tuesday.

In his new role, Olowokoko will be a crucial part of the NICO boss’s communication, campaign, and strategic engagement efforts within Kwara State. His responsibilities will include providing tailored political advice, particularly as Otunba Ajiboye is a key figure and the Leader of the Kwara South Political Caucus.

According to a statement obtained by 9japarrot Media, Olowokoko will also be responsible for coordinating feedback from grassroots communities and managing internal communications on behalf of his principal.

The appointment of Olowokoko, who is described as a renowned grassroots mobilizer and a strong figure in the Irepodun Local Government Area, is seen as a strategic move ahead of the 2027 general election.

He has a history of serving as an executive for the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the ward level including;
Former Oro Ward II Treasurer, APC Irepodun Local Government Area Financial Secretary, among others. He has also been involved in several successful political campaigns in the state including the Yakubu/Abolude Campaign Council.
